Welcome to the website of The Hayling Ferry Trust

The Hayling Ferry Trust is a community led organisation, set up in June 2016, with the the aim of assisting a new operator restore the Ferry service between Hayling Island and Portsmouth. The previous service ceased operating in April 2015 after 32 years.

The Trust works completely independently of an operator, but aims to offer funding assistance in support of a community friendly timetable, and also establish associated infrastructure, such as a Ferry linking bus service on the Hayling side. Funding assistance is offered by way of grants, where it has been shown to the Trustees that a  subsidy is required to maintain a basic timetable year round, during periods where otherwise the service would not run.
